IQrouter is a smart router designed to get you the best Internet Quality possible from your line.

It is the first router to automatically and continually adapt to your line to deliver optimized results for better Internet quality. Using our patented solutions, it self-optimizes at all times to ensure low-latency performance.

Super-easy to deploy, even non-technical customers tell us they got it running in 15 minutes.

“Easiest install ever. Works way better than my old router.”

In the majority of cases, it is a set-and-forget kind of device. It will automatically do its thing over time with no further user intervention needed. But if your line has issues, it is also a source of excellent diagnostics and metrics that enable you to work with your ISP to resolve any hardware or line issues.

Available as a Pro model for high-speed lines up to 2.5Gbps.

Unique Features

Continual Self-optimization

From initial deployment the IQrouter uses the actual type of internet service used (DSL, Cable / Fiber, Wireless) and detected line speeds to calculate optimized traffic management settings. Then it continually monitors the line performance, making dynamic adjustments as needed to ensure low latencies are maintained at all times.

Even if your line capacity changes due to congestion in the ISP service, the IQrouter will ensure you have optimized traffic-management for the currently available capacity.

All your applications will now have the highest quality Internet and will be responsive and perform consistently.

Line monitoring and alerting

To manage traffic, the IQrouter is constantly evaluating the conditions on the line, and if they vary, not only does it adjust to adapt if it can, it also captures these events so they can be presented in the customer dashboard and various reports. If the quantity and frequency of line changes are severe enough, it will also send you an alert email.
The line statistics are an incredibly powerful tool that helps you in discussions with your Internet Service provider, providing proof of line issues.

The ping statistics let you see how your line performs throughout the day, reporting average and maximum ping times, as well as percent packet loss.

Many people have no idea just how much their line varies until they see the dashboard, and now they can do something about it and quantify the results.

Internet Service-agnostic

IQrouter delivers excellent results for all* Internet service types, performing exceptionally well on lines with limited upload capacity, such as DSL or cable. The more limited your upload bandwidth (available speed), the more you need traffic management to ensure low latencies.
Due to traffic management processing demands, speeds are limited to around 300Mbps, so if on fiber or high-speed cable, that's the measurable limit of the v3 hardware. Regardless of line speed, low-latencies deliver better performance than raw speed. If you need full access to symetrical Gigabit+ speeds, those are supported by the powerfull processor in our IQrouter Pro product.

WiFi Survey

Many users suffer from poor Wifi performance due to interference from neighboring Access Points, and now the IQrouter allows you to see if there are any conflicts and helps you try to resolve or avoid them with the built-in WiFi survey page. With the scanning happening at the router using its own powerful antennas, you get a much more precise view of the Wifi landscape than mobile-based scanners, plus you can actually do something about it with an immediate rescan for a better channel. This allows users to enjoy improved performance through their WiFi-connected devices.
Since some areas are congested, or have large homes, we also have recommendations on how to achieve high-quality WiFi results.

Secure Guest Network

guest-network-v3.png

The Guest network is an isolated network with station-to-station blocking. Meaning it is a separate subnet that can not reach the main IQrouter LAN network, any device on the Guest network can not see or access other devices on the Guest network. Devices can only access the Internet.

This makes it ideal for Internet of Things (IoT) devices, like smart thermostats, connected appliances, smart bed covers, etc. that exclusively interact with their cloud services. Having them isolated protects you from any of them getting infected and probing your network.

The Pro version has the guest network on VLAN 3 and has a dedicated untagged port for connecting devices that you wish to isolate. Making it simple to have access points cover both networks.

The IQrouter firmware is also based on current underlying operating system kernels and services to ensure minimal vulnerability. Regular firmware updates keep it current.

Administration

Most common configuration settings can be reached via the Basic menus, which provide simple, easy to understand access, even for some complex changes.

The IQrouter also has a full suite of Advanced Menus for more technical users or when directed by customer support to allow sophisticated configurations, including setting up inbound VPN and DDNS services. Advanced firewall rules and other traffic routing can be set via these interfaces. You can also set some parental control type of settings that block kids devices between certain hours.

Did you know?

Your Skype / Teams / Zoom call will be even better when the other party also has an IQrouter.

A more powerful version, suitable for high-speed lines, is available as well; please see the details on the IQrouter Pro.

* Some connectivities, such as wireless (LTE or shared WiFi links) have uncorrectable latencies and might not always be low latency and could also have variable capacity. The IQrouter will be an improvement but may not fully address challenges that are out of its control.
